About Bellville
About 25 kilometres east of Cape Town's centre, toward Stellenbosch in the Tygerberg highlands, sits Bellville, which is part of the Cape Peninsula urban region. The city offers breath-taking views of the Stellenbosch Mountains, Kogelberg Range, and Winelands.

Not only is Bellville a sought-after residential area, industrial and commercial property is also in high demand. The industrial and commercial zones of Bellville have hosted numerous notable businesses and are still the first choice for influential business people on a national and international scale.

Bellville's advantageous location in the Western Cape makes it possible for pricing to be significantly lower than that of homes in the Cape Town districts.The Elsies River runs through Bellville, with a park in the river's valley. Bricks, tiles, fertilizers, and paper and food goods are all produced in Bellville South. The main railway line connecting Cape Town and Johannesburg runs through Bellville, also home to the largest train marshalling yard in the Cape Province.

History 
Originally, Bellville went by the names Hardekraaltje and Twelfth Mile Stone, Maitland Road. Farmers bringing their products to Cape Town used it as a wagon stop.Bellville, which was formed in 1861 and took its name from the Cape's surveyor-general, Charles D. Bell, was built on the Tygerberg's slopes. In 1940, it became a town, and in 1979, a city.

The University of the Western Cape was founded in Bellville in 1960. A gravel track from the suburb of Welgemoed leads to the Tygerberg summit, giving magnificent views of the Cape Flats, Table Mountain, and the interior mountains. Cape Town International Airport is located 10 km southwest from the city.

Climate 
The Northern suburbs experience winter rainfall and windy conditions, the warm summers are mild with temperatures between 25-30 degrees Celsius. Enjoy long summer nights with sunset being approximately around 8:00 pm. 

Schools
There are numerous schools to choose from, whether you're looking for private schooling, facilities, government schools, home schooling. The Northern suburbs offers it all. From pre-school to matric, the Northern suburbs offers every type of educational curriculum. Just 23,4 kms from University of Cape Town and 32,4 kms from the sought-after Stellenbosch University, your child's educational needs are taken care of. 

Medical 
The Northern suburbs offer some of the finest medical facilities with the well renowned Louis Leipold Mediclinic and Melomed private hospitals located in the area. 

Shopping Malls
Tyger Valley shopping centre, being centrally located, offers shopping, restaurants and other entertainment. Retail outlets are open till 19:00, seven days a week.

What to do in the Northern suburbs
Have loads of fun at the Cool Runnings toboggan track, the 1st in Africa and offers hours of epic thrills for young and old. Ice skating jumping around a trampoline park or getting active at the indoor sports centres. Grand West Casino and Entertainment World offers fun for the whole family. A Multitude of wine farms are close by for wine tasting and lunch. 

Restaurants 
From relaxed family restaurants to special occasion dinners, the restaurant scene in the Northern suburbs cater to everyone. Zibaldone restaurant, The Hollow tree at old oak, Cattle Baron, Argula Bistro, and bread are just a some of the popular restaurants in the Norther suburbs. The Burger Fair roadhouse in Cape Town's northern suburb of Bellville has been there for more than 45 years. 

Distance to key points If one wishes to travel from Bellville to the Cape Town International Airport it takes roughly 16 minutes to travel the 10km. Bellville from the central business district of Cape Town will take roughly 34 minutes and is 23.3km away depending on the route. From the Stikland Industrial area, it will take roughly 34 minutes to get to the CBD to travel the 35km in distance.
